It's Member Forum Season! Barry's tuned up the PADIwagon and hit the road. I've posted dates and locations below.This year's member forum is about two hours long and offered at no charge.

This year's member forum includes:
- Risk management review: real-life accident scenarios
(what went wrong and how they could have been avoided) - Review of PADI's 2008 promotional programs (GO Dive, etc)
- Training Q & A for example:
Q: If a Divemaster completes a DSD, can a PADI Instructor take the student on an optional open water dive right away? - View the winning GoPro Challenge videos
- Raffle prizes
- Networking with other PADI Members

As a general rule:
Member forums on weekdays will start at 6:30 PM.
Member forums scheduled on Sunday will start at 11:00 AM.
IMPORTANT!
Venues are subject to change. I will do my best to keep this calendar updated, but please check your email and voicemail in the days prior.
Food / Beverage will not be provided. Sadly, the venues (hotels) do not allow us to bring in food / drinks. They want to sell us their $3 cans of Coke, grrrr. The good news is: you can bring in snacks, coffee, water, etc.

Hello you burr freezy diver folks!
I just want to let you know we will be doing the evaluations online again this year after you attend Member Forum. You will receive an email shortly after from "yours truly."
The Regional Managers have a chance to win a prize (I haven't decided what yet) for the most responses to the online survey.
Help Barry out! Be sure and complete the online Member Forum Survey 2008 when you get it. Have fun out there. Wish I could come to.

How come PADI does not acknowledge phone calls or emails for requests to register for the forum. Last year I registered weeks in advance and was not on the attendance list and this year I called and emailed Lori but have not heard anything back. Is there a way to get confirmation?

Lori has been in and out the last ten days because her son has been ill. If you could please contact me with your instructor number, I will follow up with Lori and make sure you are added to the roster. I can be reached at: 800 729 7234 ext. 2330.
For anyone else with the same concern, anyone in at PADI Customer Service will be able to register you for Member Forum and/or confirm a Member Forum registration. Here is their contact info: 800 729 7234 and dial extension 2495.
Due to the massive amount of emails they receive every day, I recommend calling Customer Service rather than sending an email.

I'd also like to mention that registration is not required for Member Forum. We appreciate it when people take the time to register because it helps us know what size conference room we'll need at the hotel. All are welcome at the Member Forums whether you're registered or not.
