Sad indeed, you don't need batteries for the Wheel, it goes in your BCD pocket and it works everytime, why do we feel the need to complicate things just to say we've progressed?
Finally rid of the thing. Over complicated, inaccurate and ultimately not practical for every day use. Maybe the electronic version will actually produce the same answers to the same questions all the time as opposed to the "wheel lottery" you see now.

A moment of silence was observed at the CDTC in Newport Beach following a presentation on the wheel. :)
I tol my latest OW class that the wheel was no more. They then asked how it worked. I taught how to use the wheel one more time.
